Your board-certified pediatric dentist
Dr. Kristen Cummings
Dr. Kristen Cummings has known since high school that healthcare was her calling. Inspired by her orthodontist mentor, she pursued a path that led her to earn her bachelor of science in biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, followed by her Doctorate of Dental Medicine, which she received cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Driven by a passion for working with children, she went on to complete her specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a proud member of the ABPD College of Diplomats.
Dr. Kristen spent over a decade practicing as a contracted pediatric dentist in Missouri before the opportunity arose to take over an established pediatric practice in Shiloh when the original doctor retired. She saw it as her chance, and she has never looked back. Since 2015, she has been building a practice rooted in community, trust, and a genuine love for the families she serves.
With over two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Kristen is known for her conservative, honest approach to treatment. She never puts unnecessary worry on parents, always making it clear that a child needing dental work is not a reflection of anything done wrong. Her ability to put both kids and parents at ease is one of the things her patients comment on most.
She is particularly passionate about preventive care and early education, believing that the habits and experiences children have in the dental chair shape their relationship with their oral health for life. She approaches every appointment with warmth, efficiency, and a whole lot of encouragement.
When she is not in the office, Dr. Kristen loves spending time with her husband and daughter, playing tennis, staying active, and traveling. She brings that same energy and enthusiasm to everything she does, inside the practice and out.

The people behind your child's smile
A team built on heart, expertise, and a whole lot of mom energy
When you walk through our doors, you are greeted by a team that genuinely loves what they do. Most of our staff are moms themselves, which means they bring a level of patience, empathy, and understanding to every appointment that you can feel from the moment you arrive. From the front desk to the treatment chair, every member of our team is committed to making your child's experience a positive one.

Your first visit
Here is exactly what to expect when you walk through our doors
We know that a child's first dental visit, or any visit to a new practice, can feel like a big deal for parents and kids alike. At All Grins 4 Kids, we have designed every step of the experience to make it feel easy, comfortable, and even a little fun. From the moment you call us, we are already working to make you feel at home.
The experience
When your child arrives, they are greeted by name and welcomed with a smile by our entire team. Our clinical staff come out quickly to introduce themselves, speak directly to the child, and use gentle, age-appropriate language throughout the visit. We "count teeth" and "take pictures" instead of using clinical terminology, and we celebrate every little one for the great job they are doing. Dr. Kristen is warm and unhurried in her communication with parents, always walking through findings and treatment options in full detail so families feel confident and informed before moving forward with any care.
What to bring
To help us get your child checked in and ready for their visit, please bring the following:

Care and comfort, every step of the way
We have thought about every detail of the experience at All Grins 4 Kids, from the technology we use to deliver precise, efficient care, to the little extras that make the office feel like a place your child actually wants to be.
Teddy, our comfort dog
Teddy is a beloved member of our team and one of the first things patients ask about when they come in. He has a way of calming nerves and bringing smiles to even the most anxious little visitors. Patients often say seeing Teddy is their favorite part of the visit.
Child-friendly communication
Language matters, especially with kids. Our entire team is trained to use age-appropriate, non-scary language during every visit, turning "x-rays" into "pictures" and "cleanings" into "counting teeth." This approach helps children feel safe and in control, and builds the kind of trust that keeps them coming back without anxiety.
Cloud-based records and patient protal
We use Oryx, a modern cloud-based practice management system, and offer a MyChart patient portal where all records can be accessed and shared with a single click. Whether you need to share records with a specialist or simply review your child's treatment plan, everything is available at your fingertips.
Digital x-rays
Our digital x-ray technology allows us to capture clear, detailed images with significantly less radiation than traditional x-rays, and to share results with you immediately during the appointment.

Rooted in the community
Proud to serve Shiloh and the Metro East
All Grins 4 Kids was built on the belief that every child in our community deserves access to exceptional dental care. We serve families from across the Metro East, including Shiloh, O'Fallon, Belleville, Fairview Heights, Mascoutah, Collinsville, and the Scott Air Force Base community. Being a trusted part of this community is something our entire team takes seriously, and it shows in the relationships we build with every family who walks through our doors.
